Most metal roofing contractors order panels from a manufacturer, ship them to your home, and hope they fit your roof. Collins doesn’t work that way. We’re one of the few metal roofers in Northern Minnesota who owns our own roll-forming equipment — and we bring it right to your jobsite.
Your panels are formed in one continuous piece, cut to your roof’s exact length, and installed the same day. No trucking damage. No cut-to-length seams you don’t need. Just a tighter, cleaner, longer-lasting metal roof.
Not all metal roofs are created equal. The cheapest options use exposed fasteners — screws driven straight through the panel — that loosen, leak, and need replacing every 10–15 years. Standing seam is different: panels lock together with hidden, mechanically seamed connections. No screws through the metal. No leak points. Just a clean, continuous surface engineered to outlast your mortgage. Our Seam 26/24 system is hand-crimped by our installers and finished in Kynar 500® — the most fade-resistant paint on the market.
The 138T and 238T are Collins Roofing & Sheet Metal's proprietary premium standing seam systems — engineered with a T-Seam connection, continuous factory-applied butyl cap, and symmetrical panel design that allow individual panels to be removed and reinstalled years down the road if ever needed.
A continuous factory-applied butyl cap creates an exceptionally water-tight seam — rated down to 1/4":12 slopes, the lowest in the industry.
Both sides of every panel are identical — meaning individual panels can be removed and reinstalled years later for service or modifications. Most standing seam systems can't do this.
Specialized clips with built-in offset allow the 138T/238T to be installed directly over existing roofing — creating an air gap that reduces ice dam risk and improves energy efficiency.
